Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Short version: we set exactly one cookie, only after you sign in, and only to keep you signed in. There are no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party cookies on these websites — which is why you are not seeing a cookie consent banner.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let it recognise your browser between requests — which is how a site can keep you signed in as you move from page to page.
2. The Cookie We Use
| Name | Purpose | Properties | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| risansolutions_session | Keeps you signed in. Holds a random token only — no personal data is stored in the cookie itself. | HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax | 7 days from last activity |
It is set when you sign in and removed when you sign out. If you never create an account, no cookie is ever set. HttpOnly means JavaScript on the page cannot read it; Secure means it is only ever sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
3. Why There Is No Consent Banner
Under the ePrivacy Directive, as implemented in Norway by ekomloven § 2-7b, consent is required for storing information on your device except where it is strictly necessary to deliver a service you have explicitly requested. Our session cookie exists solely to fulfil your request to sign in, so it falls within that exemption.
If we ever add analytics, advertising or any other non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent first, and you will be able to refuse it as easily as accept it.
4. Local Storage
We store one value in your browser’s local storage: theme, which remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It stays on your device, is never sent to our servers, and is not used to identify you. Clearing your browser data removes it and the site simply reverts to its default appearance.
5. Third Parties
We use no third-party cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising network, no social media pixel and no embedded tracking of any kind on these websites.
Our typeface is served from our own servers rather than from a font provider, so loading a page on this site does not tell any third party that you visited it.
6. Managing Cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from signing in, since the site would have no way to remember that you had. Signing out removes it immediately.
